This cemetery, established under the patronage of Saint Boniface by the German Catholics of Chicago in 1863, was placed under the supervision of the Angel Guardian German Catholic Orphan Society of Chicago in 1865, and its surplus revenues have assisted in the care and education of thousands of orphaned and dependent children. 1959
